ADA Ramp with Tactile Dome Surface in Phoenix Retail Center
This Phoenix-area retail center recently turned to Copper State Pavement to install an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant curb ramp complete with a tactile detectible warning surface. For commercial parking lots to be compliant with the ADA, there are quite a few accessibility issues that must be addressed by paving contractors and property managers alike. One of those issues is curb height along an accessible route. According to the ADA, a curb ramp must be installed if there is a change in pavement height greater than 0.5-inches along an accessible path.
